As a Senior Back End Software Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our development projects, working closely with the team to create high-quality software solutions. You’ll collaborate with team members, contribute to technical decisions, and continuously improve our tech stack.
- Develop and maintain web applications, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, testers and external stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver robust solutions
- Contribute to technical decisions that align with project goals
- Continuously improve our tech stack and development processes to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Assist team members in solving technical challenges and implementing enhancements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in software development Strong understanding of system architecture and design principles
- Proficiency in backend development frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
- Good knowledge of SQL and MySQL DBMSes
- Experience with timeseries databases like Influx or TimescaleDB is a plus.
- Familiar with asynchronous and distributed systems, message queues, and web-service oriented architectures.
- Have a strong understanding of the development process - from design through to deployment, maintenance, and what that means for day-to-day development
- Experience with DevOps / CICD is a plus
- Experience with Git version control and repository management in Gitlab
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Guide and mentor less experienced developers on best practices and operational excellence
- Proven track record of leading successful development projects and teams: ability to set roadmap and goals for a team and every one of its members, delegate intelligently, mentor engineers, deliver frequent and transparent feedback, help team members grow in their careers and deliver results.
